"MASTERS OF HORROR" -- MICK GARRIS' "CHOCOLATE" AND DON COSCARELLI'S "INCIDENT ON AND OFF A MOUNTAIN ROAD"

Available individually or as a Two-Pack Set May 9, 2006

TROY, MI – Ready for a second helping of horror, as only the Masters of Horror can serve it? On May 9, IDT Entertainment's Anchor Bay Entertainment - the renowned leader in horror DVD - dishes up the next two features in the acclaimed "Masters of Horror" film anthology -- "Chocolate" directed by Mick Garris (Quicksilver Highway, "The Stand") and "Incident On and Off a Mountain Road" directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm, Bubba Ho-Tep). Just like the first 2 spectacular DVD releases, these latest Masters of Horror DVDs are presented in crystal clear Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and include hours of incredible value-added supplements. SRP is $16.98 for each edition, with a bundled "Coscarelli/Garris 2-Pack" priced at $29.98 SRP.

Written and directed by Mick Garris, "Chocolate" concerns Jamie (Henry Thomas, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Gangs of New York), a newly divorced young man who creates artificial flavors for the food industry. Suddenly, he inexplicably starts to experience brief and random sensory flashes from someone -and somewhere - unknown: sights, sounds, smells and touch. Learning that he's experiencing life through the senses of a mysterious woman, he begins to fall in love with her - without having met her. Eventually, he discovers a horrifying secret that binds him inexorably with the perfect woman in an erotic, horrifying dance of death.

From Don Coscarelli, based on Joe Lansdale's short story and adapted by Stephen Romano, "Incident On and Off a Mountain Road" pits Ellen (Bree Turner, American Pie 2), a seemingly defenseless young woman, against Moonface (John DeSantis, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World), a deformed and demented serial killer. As the story cuts back and forth in time, we slowly discover that our heroine is not as helpless, nor as innocent as she initially seems. Trained by her abusive husband Bruce (Ethan Embry, Can't Hardly Wait) to be a survivalist, she has been instructed to use any and every available object as a weapon in a time of need. Chained to the floor of Moonface's horrific cabin with his unsavory roommate (Angus Scrimm, the "Tall Man" from the Phantasm films), Ellen must marshal all her survival skills as she races against the clock to escape a grisly fate.

Once again, Anchor Bay Entertainment has gone all out to create a comprehensive suite of bonus features for the latest Masters of Horror DVD releases. Each DVD is packed with insightful featurettes, interviews and other extras available on DVD and DVD-ROM.
