Invasion of the Bee Girls is a cult classic that is on Siskel and Ebert's "guilty pleasures" list of films not to miss. A powerful cosmic force is turning the women of Earth into creatures with the characteristics of a queen bees. They kill men by loving the very life out of them sexually. FBI agent Neil Agar, played by William Smith, investigates the reports of a coven of "Bee Girls" roaming the countryside killing men. He must find a way to stop them and also keep away from them pleasuring him to death. A dangerous job but someone has to do it. This is a film that should not be missed.
New Midnite Movies Released as "Best Buy" Exclusives!
Best Buy has just confirmed to DVD Drive-In that MGM's August batch of Midnite Movies Double Features will be exclusives to their stores. The titles will be available in Best Buy stores on August 24 and they will carry a low retail price. The batch includes some previously released titles mixed in with ones never before on DVD, so I've highlighted the new-to-DVD titles in bold, and also included some technical information. The re-issues of the old titles will reflect the same transfers as before. Here's the list:
